Audi: Ad is paying tribute to the Audi R8

George Achorn from Fourtitude found an ad in the current AutoWeek magazine which is paying tribute to the great successes of the Audi R8.

In an attempt to level the field

This car was saddled with an extra 110 lbs
to diminish its braking and handling

Its fuel capacity was cut by 10 liters
to offset its superior efficiency.

And its 610hp engine was restricted to only 510hp.

After four previous victories at the world's toughest
endurance race this car could not be stopped
from winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans - again.

Because racing isn't just about numbers.
