Audi rally fans pay attention: The legendary films of AUDI’s Group B rally era in the 1980’s is now available for the first time on DVD. The original films of Helmut Deimel were digitally remastered and are now available in the Museum Shop of AUDI’s Museum Mobile in Ingolstadt, on the Internet at the shop’s website (www.audi.de/museumshop) or on the Museum Shop’s ebay store (http://members.ebay.de/aboutme/audi_museumsshop).
Thus far there are two DVDs: “quattro, The Rally Films 1981 ( "Victory of an Idea“) and 1982 ("The World Champion“ Show Highlight 1); "quattro Highlight 2, The 1983 Season ("Marathonspring“) and 1984 ("The Large Double“). More will follow. Each DVD is approximately 60 minutes long and is priced at 25 Euros.
But also remember this advice from Fourtitude:
"Caution. DVDs are programmed for specific markets. Unless you own a DVD that is programmed for the European zone, most DVDs purchased in Europe will not operate on your DVD. When we were last in the Museum Shop at Museum Mobile, we purchased a DVD on the history of Audi Sport. Upon return to the United States, we were unable to play the DVD. Be aware of these differences before purchasing."
