Audi A4: Audi's star gets an update

The Seattle Post Intelligencer has an article about the 2006 Audi A4. I am still not sure if I like this article, because I believe that they have been sleeping the last 20 years or so. Maybe you will agree with me after reading their article.
Design changes have made the car look more luxurious, taking cues from the top-of-the-line Audi A8 full-size sedans. The exterior includes a high belt line around the car, which was added partly for design and partly for safety, the company said.
The body makes extensive use of new high-strength steel panels, and it also comes standard with front and rear side-curtain air bags and front-seat side air bags. Seat-mounted rear side air bags are optional.
The giant trapezoid-shaped grille, which company officials tout as being the "new design language" of Audi, was taken straight from the newest generations of the A8 and A6 models.
Inside, this car is the essence of German luxury. The front bucket seats are quite comfortable and easily adjusted to fit just about any physique.
The dash is well-laid-out, and the instruments are large and quite easy to read. In a concession to us silly Americans, Audi has even put some decent cup holders in the center console.
