Audi: Dubai Autodrome receives a new fleet of Audi vehicles

The Dubai race track "Autodrome" received a new fleet of Audi vehicles for its track driving experiences at the race and driving School.
18 Audi A3 Sportback, A4, S4 and A8 vehicles have been added to the fleet based on an agreement which was signed last May.

Mr. Rene Koneberg, Sales Manager AGCC, said: “We at Audi Middle East are glad to establish this strong partnership between Dubai Autodrome and the Audi brand, which unifies both the passion for sport and the imperative of safety. Not only will we be supporting the Dubai Autodrome Race & Driving School with a total of 18 Audis including two S4 – one of our top models with 344 hp. We are also delighted to deliver our flagship model, the Audi A8 4.2 quattro L, to Mr. Simon Azzam, CEO of Union Properties. We are looking forward to several regional events with the Dubai Autodrome, where both participants of the driving school as well as present and future Audi customers can experience the powerful combination of sportiness and safety in this partnership."

The "Driving Experience" begins with a classroom briefing that comprises driving techniques needed to drive a car quickly and safely around the circuit, followed by intensive hands-on instruction by the Dubai Autodrome staff that consists of a talented team of instructors with an extensive racing background and the best driving skills in the region.

Instructors then take participants over three laps to show the racing line, and teach braking and cornering techniques, which will definitely improve their daily driving on the roads. Applicants then take the wheel for five laps around the circuit to adapt to the car and the circuit environment, and then a further five laps. Then they all go on a fast lap to show people the driving technique required for high-speed circuits.
