VW New Beetle: Winner in the subcompact market's fuel economy contest

VW New Beetle
In times where gasoline becomes more and more expensive it's good to have a car which consumes only the necessary amount.
The Volkswagen New Beetle was the winner in the subcompact market's fuel economy contest.
The subcompact market's fuel economy winner, according to the EPA, was the Volkswagen New Beetle, which when equipped with a diesel engine and manual transmission got 38/46 mpg. Annual fuel cost is estimated at $941.

The New Beetle is a comfortable, relatively quiet car with snug construction, and a fun ambience overall. You'll also find that there are lots of options.
