VW of America: New ad agency

Sorry for the MINI pic in here.
It looks like VW of America has chosen a new ad agency.
Sources tell us Volkswagen of America will announce today that it’s choosing Miami-based advertising badasses Crispin Porter+Bogusky as its agency of record. CP + B, high-profile darlings of the edgy, youth-oriented ad segment and winners of the Cyber Lions Grand Prix at Cannes this year, have created artful, imaginative campaigns that riff on pop culture for BMW’s Mini (pictured) and Ikea, as well as the “Truth” campaign for the American Legacy Foundation (the anti-smoking organization created after the 1999 public settlement with big tobacco). Left in the dust is Arnold Worldwide, known for producing the VW Touareg “snow drift” TV spot that once made us spit-take a mouthful of Riesling (seriously) as well as the “Milky Way” campaign for the Golf Cabrio that kept the late Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon” swirling around our forebrains for six months. The changeover will be effective December 5, 2005.
