Audi A8: Offers $11,500 option for upscale interiors

Audi A8
Already known for the best interiors in the world, Audi is now offering a $11,500 option to upscale the interior.
German automaker Audi, often considered a trendsetter in vehicle interiors, unveiled new interior packages Friday for the company's high-end A8 line. The $11,500 packages are optional on the standard- and long-wheelbase A8 4.2 quattro models.

The interiors include Valcona leather seating in Classic Red, "Cognac" and "Mojave Sand" colors, accented with black piping. Black floor mats are color-trimmed to match the seats.

The company said it also will offer enhanced wood trim in "Myrtle Nutmeg" with the Classic Red interior, in "Maple Copper" with the Cognac interior and in "Poplar Saffron" in the intarsia pattern with the Mojave Sand interior. The package includes a wood and leather steering wheel and wooden shift knob.

What this means to you: Audi continues to raise the bar for other luxury automakers, including Lexus and Cadillac, with its ritzy interiors.
