Volkswagen: Switch to common-rail diesels from 2007

TDI engine
German weekly magazine "Der Spiegel" is reporting that Volkswagen will switch to common-rail diesel technology from 2007 and give up their well-known current TDI engines.
A Volkswagen spokesman confirmed this plan on Tuesday and said that around 2 million common rail engines shall be produced each year.
