Audi A6, Audi TT: Stopping car rebirthing

Audi A6
"The Australian" has a very interesting article about car rebirthing and how the Audi A6 and Audi TT stopped it effeciently.
LUXURY cars are the most difficult to break into, but most offer little defence against "rebirthing" with different identification markings.

Cars with microdots - a tiny spray-on identification system that deters rebirthing - topped the theft-security rankings of more than 100 new cars released yesterday by NRMA Insurance.

Microdots helped lift Audi's A6 and TT into joint top spot with 116.5 points out of 120, while BMWs and Subarus with the system also did well.

The research ranked vehicles under three categories - ease of entry, vulnerability to theft and vehicle identification. More than 50 cars failed to achieve half marks.
