Audi TT quattro sport: A real lean machine

Audi TT quattro sport
The Belfast Telegraph has an article about the slimmed-down Audi TT quattro sport and believes that it's a real lean machine!
Audi has given its pretty little TT coupe the testosterone treatment. The sports version is as much about performance as it is about looks.

The 1.8-litre, turbocharged engine has been uprated from 225PS to 240PS. That is a prodigious output from a four-cylinder unit of this capacity.

Altogether, the TT has been 'slimmed' by some 49kg.

More power and less weight adds up to a TT capable of sprinting from rest to 62mph in 6.5 seconds and with a potential top speed of 155mph. It gives an exhilarating driving experience and sounds pretty good through its twin exhausts when you accelerate through each of the six gears.

The uprated engine is also more flexible. With Quattro four-wheel drive, the TT Sport feels very stable even on the rain-lashed roads we have suffered in recent weeks.
