VW Golf: 24,000,000 and counting!

VW Golf
VW is celebrating the 24 millionth Golf which rolled off the production line in Wolfsburg. The production of the VW Golf started back in 1974.
Today, the Golf tops the new-car registration lists in Western Europe, and is the biggest seller in the Volkswagen Group.

The Golf has long-surpassed the Beetle in production volume, with 719,000 Golfs sold last year alone. The car is built in seven factories around the world. Key markets for the car outside Europe are the USA, Japan and South Korea. In Europe, major markets include Germany, the U.K., France and Italy.
