VW New Beetle: VW club proves that it's hard to squash a Beetle

VW New Beetle
The South Jersey Volkswagen Club proves that it's hard to squash a Beetle.
If you listen carefully on the first Monday evening of every month, you might be able to hear a "fweem" sound coming from Prestige Volkswagen on the Black Horse Pike in Turnersville. "Fweem" is the familiar high-pitched chirping noise that a Volkswagen muffler makes as it drives by, and it is music to the ears of all the VW enthusiasts in the South Jersey Volkswagen Club.
The SJVW Club is a place where Volkswagen buffs of all ages and backgrounds come together to share their love and knowledge for that particular German machine, all makes, models, and years. Members bring to the meeting a variety of interests from preserving vintage VWs or souping up VW engines, to participating in car shows and cruises. And by "cruises" they don't mean boarding a ship to enjoy a week on the sea. Participants "cruise" their cars in a caravan to a particular destination, such as a car or VW show like they recently did to a show in Salisbury, Maryland. They can also be found occasionally at the car shows at Fuddruckers here in Washington Township.
