VW Phaeton: Say goodbye to the US!

VW Phaeton
German website "Speed Heads" is reporting that VW is going to pull out the VW Phaeton from the US market with the start of the model year 2007!
It's said that VW wants to concentrate on their core business in the US with the VW Jetta, VW Passat, VW New Beetle and the VW Touareg. In addition they will start selling the VW Golf.
Reasons for the pull-out are said to be the high costs for the market development for the VW Phaeton and also for fulfilling the US standards.
