VW: Stuns with sizzlers

South African website "Wheels24" also has an article about VW's participance at SEMA in Las Vegas.

Working with its California design studio and HPA Motorsports, VW created sizzling R GT editions of the Jetta and Passat sedans and the Touareg.

The Jetta R GT comes with a 407 kW version of VW's 3.2-liter V6 that powers the new Golf R32. To ensure that every bit of the torque gets to the ground the car is fitted with VW's DSG twin-clutch transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

Similar technology was applied to create the Passat R GT, born from a European-spec 2006 Passat 3.2 V6 FSI with DSG transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

The Touareg R GT is nothing less than the pure essence of a high-performance luxury SUV. Thanks to modifications the its V6 engine's power output was increased to 373 kW.
