Audi Nero: Audi's new Batmobile wings in

Audi Nero
AutoExpress covers the story of the Audi Nero, a design study from the LA Auto Show Design Challenge with this year's theme "An LA Adventure".

Batman returns! Take a look at Audi's latest dream car, and you're seeing a vision of the future. This stunning coupé wouldn't look out of place in a futuristic sci-fi film, but in reality it will actually take centre stage at January's Los Angeles Auto Show.

But despite its action adventure appearance, the jaw-dropper, known as Nero, has nothing to do with the silver screen. Penned at Audi's design centre in California, these official pictures reveal the firm's vision of the future.

Up front, the stunning coupé wears Audi's signature four-sided grille with pride. The four-ring badge also features prominently, while the vertical bars are similar to those on the firm's TT Shooting Brake concept, revealed at last month's Tokyo Motor Show.

Please continue for more information about the Audi Nero. Although it looks like the Batmobile, it's inspired by a 1930's Auto Union race car.
