Bugatti Veyron: It looks like a million

Bugatti Veyron
This is what you get for a bit more than a million, including the world's most powerful car.
File under the "I-can-dream-can't-I?" dept.: the Bugatti Veyron, with a sticker price approaching $1 million, including floor mats.

The Veyron, which spools up to 1,001 horsepower, probably won't find a home at the Classic Car Club: Volkswagen, which owns the legendary Bugatti marque, expects to sell fewer than 300 Veyrons in the next five years, mainly to kings and potentates, who likely won't drive them on public roads, if they drive them at all.

VW, which is pulling its high-line ultra-luxury Phaeton out of a U.S. market that ignored it, will use the Veyron as a "halo" car to enhance the brand's image. It launches at the Los Angeles auto show next month.
