Audi A4, Audi Q7: Shown at Indian Auto Expo 2006

Audi will show the Audi Q7 and the Audi A4 at the Indian Auto Expo 2006.

Aiming to make a big impact at the upcoming Auto Expo 2006, German car maker Audi will be showcasing its first-ever sports utility vehicle, Q7 along with luxury compact sedan A4. Having unveiled the seven-seater SUV at many auto shows across the world earlier this year, Audi's decision to bring Q7 to India reflects the significance that the company attaches to the Indian market. The Q7, which will be launched in the European markets by the first and second quarters of 2006, is available in two engine variants of a 4.2 litre direct injection petrol (FSI) V8 and a 3.0-litre common rail diesel that uses the latest-generation Peizo injectors. While the price is still unconfirmed, the Q7 SUV is reported to be tagged starting from about 85,000 dollars in the international markets for the 3.0-litre turbodiesel. Built on a long wheelbase, Q7 is billed as one of the most spacious SUVs, with the second and third rows of seats having the option of folding flat into the floor. Audi's other attraction will be the A4 compact luxury sedan.
