Audi A4: More power, same price for Audi diesel

Audi A4
The Audi A4, as well as the Audi A6 and Audi Q7, receives a new 3.0 TDI engine with 171 kw power. But best thing is: the price will stay unremained.
A new 171kW version of Audi's three-litre V6 TDI turbodiesel, already in the latest A8, will replace the current 150kW unit in South Africa in mid-2006.

It will also be fitted in the new A6, to be released here later this year, and in the Q7, due for world launch next month in Munich.

Audi says the beefed-up V6 will take the Audi A4 quattro from 0-100km/h in 6.8sec and on to a top speed of 242km/h but on the same fuel consumption as the current unit, quoted at 7.7 litres/100km.

The new six-cylinder engine with common-rail direct injection and piezo injectors will have a diesel particulate filter as standard.

But the best news is that prices will remain unchanged at R349 000 for the manual and R378 500 for the semi-automatic version with manual sequential change.
