Audi: All-time record in Australia

Audi
As reported earlier Audi had another record sales year in 2005 with more than 829.000 sold cars. This also meant a new all-time record in Australia.
Audi has recorded an impressive 30 percent growth in sales during 2005, selling more than 4,800 units in Australia – an all-time high for the company.
Finishing the year 2005 with strong sales of 406 units in December, the company retailed 4,808 units, up over 1,100 units compared with 2004.

Justifiably proud of the result, Audi’s managing director, Joerg Hofmann, says the strong result is extremely promising for the brand’s future growth in Australia.

“Our aim was to reach more than 4,500 units in 2005, and we have clearly exceeded it, selling 4,808 cars,” Mr Hofmann said.

“The strength of our product, a passionate and professional organisation, as well as the burgeoning Audi brand image in Australia, has contributed to this record result.”

“Our 30 percent growth is well in excess of the growth of our luxury competitors and we are confident that we will again look forward to 2006 and another record year. Furthermore, the growth plan for Australia forecasts more than 7,000 units by 2008 and this promising result supports our ambition,” Mr Hofmann concluded.
