Volkswagen: Wolfgang Bernhard to head group production

Wolfgang Bernhard
Rumors are saying that Wolfgang Bernhard will soon head the Volkswagen group production, which means for all brands including Audi, Lamborghini etc.
It's also said that Dr. Martin Winterkorn will take over the development of all brands.

Volkswagen AG executive Wolfgang Bernhard will be appointed as the head of the auto maker's overall production, the Financial Times Deutschland reported citing industry sources.

Bernhard currently heads the Volkswagen Brand within the overall Group, which also includes Audi, Skoda, Seat and several luxury brands.

The newspaper also wrote that Martin Winterkorn, currently the head of the Audi brand, will now become head of development for all of VW's brands.

The newspaper did not say when the managerial changes will occur.

A VW Spokesman declined to comment on the report.
