VW Jetta VS4: Power boost, sporty accents

VW Jetta VS4
VW tuner Abt Sportsline has made the VW Jetta into a sportster with an upgraded 170-hp engine and a go-fast appearance.
Abt Sportsline unveiled its Jetta VS4 on Thursday, showing off a kicked-up version of the car with an upgraded 2.0-liter TDI engine that makes 170 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 132 miles per hour. That is a 30-plus-horsepower increase compared with the standard engine.

The tuner said the Jetta VS4 can sprint from zero to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds. The VS4's body has been lowered by more than an inch and a half and includes a new front spoiler, broad side skirts and a two-pipe rear muffler.

No word yet on when the VS4 will reach the United States.
