VW: Minivan cooperation with DaimlerChrysler finalized!

BREAKING NEWS:
As an update to our story from this morning, we now received the breaking news that the minivan cooperation between VW and DaimlerChrysler for the US market is now finalized and will be announced Sunday at the Detroit Motor Show.

VW announced that the production of the minivan, which will be based on the next generation of the Chrysler and Dodge minivans, will start 2008.

The estimated amount of produced cars is between 35000 and 45000.

Chrysler boss Tom LaSorda said that this agreement is a "win for both sides".
