VW Sagitar: Volkswagen launches new model for China

VW Sagitar
VW has launched a new flagship car for the Chinese market, the VW Sagitar.
The Sagitar, pronounced "saw-gee-tar," is aimed at highly educated, fashionable buyers in their mid-thirties hunting speed and excitement, said Weiming Soh, VW Group China's executive president for sales and marketing.

VW announced earlier that it plans to introduce up to 12 new models in China by 2009.


The VW Sagitar is identical with the well-known VW Jetta.
