Audi R8: Battle royale against the Porsche 911

Our eagle-eyed reader Kobla found that the Audi RS4 was mentioned to have a twin-turbo in the "What Car?" article. While this was true for the former model, it isn't for the actual Audi RS4. Shame on you "What Car?"!

UK-based "What Car?" has an interesting article about the Audi R8 and its battle royale against the Porsche 911 including some nice speculation that the Audi R8 will also receive the Lamborghini V10 engine and as an "entry" option a version with the Audi RS4 engine.

Audi's forthcoming supercar will be priced just above its main target, the Porsche 911.

The R8 goes on sale in summer 2007 and is likely to cost around £80,000 in Britain.
