Porsche Panamera: Production in Leipzig Confirmed!

Production of the 4 door Panamera was confirmed last month. However, it has just been confirmed that the production of it will take place at the Leipzig plant, where Porsche used to build the supercar Carrera GT. Porsche say there should be roughly 500 more jobs created and production of the Panamera should start in late 2008, with it's market introduction in 2009. At the moment, the Cayenne is finished off at the Leipzig factory.
