Audi A8: Solid, comfortable and fast

The article is a nice read, because the author seems to be very pleased by the Audi A8. But maybe someone should tell him that he got an old car ....
Interesting to see who can call himself a car journalist nowadays. And calling the Lexus IS a competitor is the cream on top of the ice. Unbelievable!

To be honest, the A8 represents a realm of motoring I hadn't seen before. It's absolutely gorgeous, it's fast, it's big and it makes virtually every other car on the road seem simple and rudimentary.

Its only competitor I've driven is the current, soon-to-be replaced Lexus LS430. The LS is a wonderfully comfortable vehicle and stands as a great way to reward yourself for a hard-fought career doing whatever. Only it doesn't have a certain weight and presence the A8 exudes without even moving. I got weak at the knees and the air left my lungs whenever I approached this Audi.

Did I mention it's absolutely gorgeous? There are no extravagant lines or exotic headlights or tail lights. All the angles and components fit together cleanly. Not one bit of the design distracts you. Nothing draws your eye away from seeing the whole package.
