Porsche GT3 RSR: Debut!

The new GT3 RSR has finally completed it's first race!
Porsche is out to prove the RS (Renn Sport) tag is fully justified when the first 911 GT3 RSR racers take to the track at Spa in Belgium this weekend (July 29-30).
Fielded by the Manthey team, the two cars are almost completely standard, other than additional safety features.
A roll cage has been welded into place, and the wheelarches have been extended by 50mm to cope with the larger racing wheels and tyres.
Based on the road-going RS models, the RSR has a 3.8-litre 'flat' six engine producing 485bhp.
There will 35 GT3 RSRs built and sold as race-ready machines, but they are not road legal.
