VW Golf GTI: Universal Studios tour debuts Fast & Furious exhibit

Vicarious thrills for adrenaline junkies: The Universal Studios tour adds "Fast & Furious: Extreme Close-Up," which shows you what robot-controlled VW's can do.

Inspired by the blockbuster series and set to a hip-hop beat, the chase sequence uses two specially outfitted Volkswagens mounted on robotic armatures. The new feature thrusts viewers into close-up range of the world of street racing. NASCAR racer Jimmie Johnson recently introduced the ride to the park as three top Hollywood stunt drivers executed a drift race and car jump maneuver.
