VW Touareg V6 TDI: Think of a place - go there
Here's a nice review of the VW Touareg V6 TDI from South Africa.
An enduring memory I have of Volkswagen's consummate five-litre, V10 TDI Touareg SUV is flat out on an autobahn outside that company's Wolfsburg HQ - at 235km/h. After that drive I said Rudolf Diesel would not only have been proud but would probably have collapsed in shock.
Perhaps Mr D's reaction to the 3.0 V6 TDI model, launched by VWSA last week to join the existing 2.5 and 5.0 TDI versions and the 4.2 V8 petrol, would have been a little less dramatic.
Another great vehicle from VW, albeit for the serious tin that these SUVs command today. But with a market nearly 40 000 strong, clearly there are a lot of people out there who want them and are prepared to pay for them.
Lucky people.
