VW Passat R36: Confirmed!

VW Passat
Is an ultimate VW Passat, a said VW Passat R36, in the works? It's now said to be confirmed by VW at least.
VW has confirmed it is considering a hot version of its Passat family car.

The R36 would use a 280bhp 3.6-litre V6 engine which the firm already sells in the US. That would give it the pace to match the turbocharged Mazda 6 MPS.
