VW: Sat-nav's down to Earth with Google

Can someone tell me what's wrong with AutoExpress? They are coming up with so-called news that are really months old. Come on guys, make better and fresher research. That's so old media!
Anyway, here's a roundup of the navigation joint venture between VW and Google.
Current systems have flat, two-dimensional imagery, but this Internet-driven unit will use accurate 3D photo-real maps to depict individual buildings and landmarks exactly to scale. The images are from Google Earth, a computer programme which displays satellite photographs of any position on the globe.
The navigation system will offer up-to-the-minute traffic information plus a list of restaurants, petrol stations and points of interest anywhere in the world, constantly updated via the Internet. Larry Page of Google said: "We have a project with VW to do a prototype for the dashboard. We can put this type of technology in cars, and even in smaller devices."
Although it's still under development, Google Earth-based sat-nav could be offered in a Volkswagen near you within a couple of years. A VW spokesman said: "It's more efficient and accurate at conveying information than traditional devices."
