Audi A6: TV spot directed by Knucklehead's Johnny Green

Cool!
Knucklehead director Johnny Green has directed BBH’s latest spot for the Audi A6. The 90-second film, with 60-second and 40-second versions, utilises Green’s unique filmic style to bring an ethereal beauty and art-house style to the script -- and its only Green's second commercial.

The film opens in iconic mid-west America, following a man as he walks home from work through the evening darkness. Silver light streaks in the sky, horses get spooked, something isn’t right. He glances skywards and we are suddenly travelling in the abstract void of space as the ‘something’ hurtles through the atmosphere. Abstract documentary and photographic images reveal elements of a car as it hurtles towards the earth. A title on a computer monitor reads, “To Date, NASA has filed 6,509 patents… In developing the A6, Audi filed 9,621.” At it’s climax, the A6 plunges all the way to earth and into the dark ocean, passing over the camera as the title reveals ‘V0R5PRUN7NG DUR6CH T3CHN1K’.
