Audi R8: Spotted in South Africa

The ultimate street machine, the Audi R8, has been spotted in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Audi's stunning R8 is to make its appearance at the Auto Africa Motor Show later this week. However, an eagle-eyed Wheels24 reader spotted the car in Johannesburg.

The R8 is the newest edition to the Audi model line-up and made its first official appearance at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Despite its presence at Auto Africa, South African sales will only kick off in the middle of 2007.

Wheels24 has learned that the expected price tag will be about R1.5-million.
