VW: More individuality

VW
VW will add more inviduality to their 2007 models in the US.
Volkswagen announced yesterday that they'd be pimping der own autos in limited edition trim for the 2007 model year. Much like the 'vapor blue' and 'reflex yellow' variants of the new Beetle offered a few years back, these mildly stylized offerings are more show than go, but will no doubt gain cred from the VW cognoscenti.

Of the four models being offered, the most eye catching will be the Fahrenheit versions of the GTI, which will be bathed in 'Fahrenheit orange' and the GLI, which gets a bright yellow hue, called, you guessed it, 'Fahrenheit yellow.' Both models will come equipped with 18" 'Charleston' wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, heated leather seats, sunroof, prerequisite 'Fahrenheit' badging, along with stitching that matches the exterior color. Only 1,200 models of each will be produced.

The new Beetle convertible will also benefit from a new exterior paint, in the shade of Triple White and will be partnered with an all-white interior and 'roof boot.' 3,000 of these limited edition Bugs will be available with Sirius satellite radio and 17-inchers at all four corners.

The last model to get some additional pimpage is the 2.5-liter Jetta, which will see the return of the Wolfsburg badge and will come equipped with leatherette, sunroof, cold-weather package, 16" alloys and 'monster' floor mats (we don't know either). Additionally, four different interior/exterior color combinations will be available, which you can read about in the press release, after the jump.
