Audi R8: Great report about the Audi R8 Encore event in NYC

Audi R8
Our friends from Fourtitude have a very nice gallery up and running of the Audi R8 Encore event. Go and check it! They also share some insights with us.
And then it was gone. Audi’s new R8 has finally left the building, moved from its perch on the rotating platform at the Audi Forum New York City and having disappeared until it re-emerges once more at the L.A. auto show in December. Approximately seventy five people including this website’s own editorial staff, had one last chance to see the R8 before it left thanks to the Audi Forum New York City generously opening their doors for this special event.

It’s just these sorts of events that the Audi Forum New York City is intended for, suggests the venue’s director Axel Catton. Catton treated visitors to a presentation covering the Audi brand and the R8 itself before opening up the floor to visitors so that they could get a closer look at the R8, as well an Auto Union Type D silver arrow racecar, a $175,000 custom A8 by quattro GmbH, an Imola Yellow RS 4 sedan and a Q7.

What should be expected next from the Audi Forum New York City? We hear the next big thing to be displayed will be the TT Roadster, which is expected to debut at L.A. and move to the forum shortly after that. However, Catton is coy on giving any details about L.A. or the car’s arrival in New York City. We’d guess it will be there by December.
