Audi R8: Microsite wins designer competition

Audi R8
The Audi R8 microsite, truely one of the best, has won the Deutscher Designer Club's 'Good Design' competition. Congrats!
With the R8 launch, Audi is setting new standards on the Internet. Following the unveiling of the new sports car at the Paris Motor Show, the online presentation is now also getting underway. The R8 is to feature in a spectacular 3D film on the microsite (www.audi.com/R8). What sets this computer-generated film apart is that it is based exclusively on CAD data and was produced totally digitally on a computer. Thus the real R8 never once had to touch the road. At a ceremonial gathering in Frankfurt last Saturday, the Deutscher Designer Club e.V. (DDC) awarded gold to the R8 microsite in the digital category of its ‘Good Design’ competition.
