Audi: 2006 in review

We usually prefer to look towards the future, but AudiWorld's Jason Teller has put together a very nice review of 2006. A must read and definitely a great year for Audi.

As we near 2007 it is time to take a look back at the Audi happenings of the past year. Readers will be able to quickly see the news and events which dominated the world of Audi in 2006, as well as diving into each article for more comprehensive information.

We have also designated a single newsworthy item as the Audi Event of the Year. Whereas in 2005 it was the R8 racecar which went out in style with its final win at Le Mans, in 2006 it is the debut of the Audi R8 sportscar. Named for its racing brethren, the Audi R8 is an entirely different automobile for Audi. It was also one of the most highly anticipated Audi debuts we can ever remember.
