Volkswagen: Buying major stake in Proton and Lotus

Volkswagen
I don't know how many times this headline already came up in the last few months, but now it looks like Volkswagen is really going to buy a major stake in Proton and even Lotus.
China-based news agency XFN Asia is reporting that Volkswagen has agreed to purchase a majority 51 percent stake in ailing Malaysian carmaker Proton. The as-yet-unconfirmed deal would provide Volkswagen with control of British-based sports-car maker Lotus, a Proton property.
