Volkswagen: Walter de Silva to head design for all brands

Walter de Silva
Our favorite car designer is now responsible for all Volkswagen Group brands.
An announcement to that effect is being prepared and will be made official within the next few days, high-ranking Volkswagen officials told Inside Line. The 55-year-old Italian will also retain responsibility for Audi design.

De'Silva, whose credits include today's entire Audi lineup except for the soon-to-be-renewed A4, will replace Murat Gunak, who is set to leave the Volkswagen Group after a four-year spell as a result of a shakeup in VW's executive ranks.
