Porsche 911 Carrera S: Californian review
The Porsche 911 Carrera S seems to be a nice ride in California.
Once I arrived inside LAX, I went to the airport parking facility to pick up the test vehicle. It was to be a 2007 911 Carrera S in arctic silver metallic. There it was looking so innocent, like it had a halo above it. Its curves were so smooth. The complete leather interior was terra cotta or what I would call orange. It had a stopwatch on the top center of the dash, which is part of the “Sport Chrono Package Plus” that not only records lap times, but also allows the driver to custom-tune the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system which allows you to get more power out of the engine. The “Chrono” just stared at me and I found myself daydreaming of days at an autocross and/or a track using a stopwatch. Quickly snapping out of it, I turned the ignition and ignited the 355 ponies. A huge growl came from the rear quad exhaust pipes. It was a beautiful deep tone that I will never forget.
