We have more pictures and information about the facelifted VW Phaeton.
The VW flagship gets a set of new headlamps, more standard equipment and a range of new diesel engines. The big-banger V10 TDI will be dropped from the Phaeton lineup, replaced by an upgraded 3.0L V6 turbodiesel developing 235hp. The new model achieves a top speed of 236km/h, averages a mileage rate of roughly 9.6L/100km and is one of the first cars to meet the upcoming Euro5 emissions standards.
There will be three gasoline variants including V6, V8 and W12 powerplants, with output ranging from 240 to 450hp. Technological gizmos include a frontal scanning system incorporated with the car’s cruise control, lane-change warning, sat-nav and Bluetooth connectivity.
