Audi A4 quattro, Audi A6 quattro: "2007 Four-Wheel-Drive Car of the Year"

Audi A4 quattro, Audi A6 quattro
Double victory for Audi with the Audi A4 quattro and the Audi A6 quattro as "2007 Four-Wheel-Drive Car of the Year".
Additional awards went to the VW Touareg, to the VW T5 4motion and to the Porsche 911 Carrera 4.
The readers’ poll of the “AUTO BILD alles allrad” trade journal saw two Audi models beating all the competition to claim the “2007 Four-wheel-drive Car of the Year” title. First place went to the Audi A4 quattro in the “mid-size passenger car” category, while the Audi A6 quattro was voted the best “luxury-class four-wheel-drive passenger car”.

The double victory in the luxury-class category was rounded off by last year's winner, the Audi A8 quattro, which took second place behind the A6, meaning that just as in 2006, the first two positions were occupied by Audi models. Other four-wheel-drive vehicles from Audi were also able to take their place on the winners’ rostrum: the Audi Q7 came second in the luxury-class off-road vehicle category, as did the A3 quattro in the compact class.

The Audi R8, making its first appearance in the poll, narrowly missed out on victory in the sports car category. And third place was also occupied by an Audi vehicle – the Audi TT quattro.

Two victories and a total of seven podium places in all make Audi undisputedly the most successful brand in the 2007 poll. Readers were able to choose from a total of 112 vehicles in 9 categories this year, with more than 35,000 votes cast.
