Gumpert: Planning a less powerful but more luxurious model

Gumpert Apollo
Regular readers know how much we like the cars of Gumpert, especially the Gumpert Apollo. But some potential customers seem hesitating to buy it and we heard the reason is because it's too cheap. As the customer is king, they now heard the voices and will build a less powerful, but more luxurious (read: more expensive!) model.
The Apollo builders’ Francois Sittler is quoted as saying that the car will be “less powerful, more relaxed, and less track-oriented.”

It is not confirmed whether the new car will be based on the Apollo’s mechanicals, but it’s a reasonable bet to assume so.

In either case, the kinder, gentler Apollo is around three years away.
