VW Touareg: Next-gen premiered at New York Auto Show

Here's some more information about the 2nd generation of the VW Touareg which premiered at the New York Auto Show. Nice!

As before, the ‘Reg will be available in V-6, V-8, and V-10 (diesel) packages, but it’s now received some (very) subtle upgrades in the exterior department. The off-roader receives a new corporate Fu Manchu grille, revamped headlights and taillamps, a new rear spoiler, and standard 19-inch wheels on V-8 and V-10 models.

Inside, new across-the-range convenience features like keyless access and start come in to play, as does a power lift gate and a “REST” feature on the climate control, which reroutes engine heat into the dash even after the engine is turned off. As a result, Toureg 2 occupants can keep warm for around 45 minutes, even if the engine isn’t running.
