Audi A3 Cabrio, Audi A5 Cabrio, Audi R8 Targa: All confirmed!

According to German Auto Motor und Sport Audi has confirmed 3 (!) smash hit models: the Audi A3 Cabrio, the Audi A5 Cabrio and the Audi R8 Targa!

The Audi A3 convertible will be build in Gyor, Hungary, starting from spring 2008. 23.000 units per year are planned. Parts will be delivered from Ingolstadt, a proven solution also used by the Audi TT.

The Audi A5 convertible will hit the roads beginning of 2009 and will be produced in Neckarsulm, Audi's second German plant. 28.000 units are planned per year.

Biggest news is that Audi will indeed produce an Audi R8 roadster and it will be called Audi R8 Targa. It will also be manufactured in the Neckarsulm plant. Start of production is planned for spring 2009.
