Audi Q7 4.2: Long-term review

Audi Q7 4.2
Motor Trend is running a long-term test with the Audi Q7 4.2 and different drivers are publishing their experiences. Here's a very nice one. Enjoy!
Naturally, when one is fortunate enough to make out so well, great care and tact are required so as not to step on the less-providential toes of others. Which is why I humbly say, in regard to my new role as our Q7's appointed shepherd: "It's mine! All mine! Mine mine mine mine mine mine MINE!!"

I intend to hog this gorgeous showpiece of German engineering as much as my Official Q7 KeyKeeper status will allow.

The Q7, in contrast, is a Mid-Century modern in the Hollywood Hills. Glass, brushed aluminum, black leather, cockpit graphics clearly conceived with chic in mind (even the animated icon for the climate-control fan whirls with designer flair). The Audi is deliberately cool, urbane, even sexy. A far edgier piece than the broad-appeal Benz, it's clearly not for everyone.
