VW Passat
The VW Passat is now also coming to India. The VW Touareg will follow soon.
Volkswagen would be launching their first assembled in India model sometime later this year. This model would be their luxury sedan Passat.

The company also announced that they are setting up a subsidiary, Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited, in order to strengthen its operations in India.

The Indian division of the company would be headed by group MD Joerg Mueller. Volkswagen’s passenger car segment division in India would be headed by Andreas Prinz.

Volkswagen is going to target the tier-1 cities Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore initially to sell their cars.

This would be further expanded to other cities in the coming years. Volkswagen also has plans to introduce their other products in the Indian market including the Touareg.
