VW Polo: Preview of the next 3-door generation

We found a preview of the new generation of the 3-door VW Polo which is timed for 2009.

New to the model family will be hybrid drivetrains, as revealed previously by CEO Martin Winterkorn, but prior to the release of the hybrid car will be new BlueMotion diesel versions as well as a possible performance version with VW’s outstanding super-turbocharged 1.4L TSI engine.

The next-gen polo is also expected to benefit from VW’s recently announced cheaper version of DSG and, when combined with the efficient BlueMotion diesel, could deliver a mileage figure in excess of 60mpg.
