Audi A3: New mighty marvel engine

Audi A3
Audi is offering a new 1.4 TFSI engine for the Audi A3.
Audi Europe has launched a sub-1400cc mighty marvel of an engine that can power its A3 and A3 Sportback beyond 200km/h thanks to it being more powerful than the 1600cc unit it replaces.

Sounds too good to be true? Nope, and Audi says the new 1390cc TFSI engine will manage 6.5 litres/100km and a 0-100km/h time of 9.6 seconds while emitting less CO2 than the 1.6 engine as well.

The engine shares its Turbo FSI configuration with the 1.8 TFSI unit also recently adopted by the A3 and which was named by several sources as Engine of the Year.
