The ground-breaking new A5 coupe is the latest Audi to offer Bang & Olufsen’s award-winning sound system, an audio marvel that offers completely new standards in automotive sound quality.

Like the systems offered on the A8, R8 and Q7, the Bang & Olufsen sound system is specially developed for the Audi A5 and is precisely matched to maximise the acoustic performance of the sporty two-door vehicle. It is the result of close engineering collaboration between Audi and Bang & Olufsen. The system is tailor made to the exact acoustic characteristics of the A5’s interior – its size, shape and materials. It even automatically adjusts to the speed of the car and background noise, such as road, wind and rain, to maintain the rich musical experience.

Unique features include 14 tailor-made speakers that deliver incredibly rich, crystal clear sound. The proprietary Bang & Olufsen ‘True Image™’ turns two-channel stereo signals into perfect 7.1-channel surround sound. The 10-channel Digital Signal Processing (DSP) – another Bang & Olufsen patented technology – automatically optimises sound, irrespective of weather and speed. The 505-watt system is controlled simply and effectively by the car’s built-in Multi Media Interface. The loudspeakers not only offer amazing sound, they also look superb thanks to their handsome aluminium mesh finish.
